On the Town: The 6th annual BB Jazz Fesitval is bringing another all-star line-up to the beautiful Central Park in Huntington Beach on Saturday September 6th. This year’s line-up includes Najee, Rahsaan Patterson, Maysa, Michael Lington, Chuck Loeb, Philippe Saisse, Brian Bromberg, and Bobby Lyle. Proceeds will benefit children with Autism and other charities for children. For tickets or info: 714-377-7574.

  • The Saddleback College Jazz Faculty kicks off their fall season on Monday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the McKinney Theatre. This nationally renowned ensemble performs original music by faculty members and saxophonist Kirsten Edkins. The faculty is comprised of Jerry Pinter on saxophone, Ron Stout on trumpet, Gerard Hagen on piano, Luther Hughes on bass, Paul Johnson on drums and Director of Jazz Studies, Joey Sellers, on trombone. Tickets are $10 general; $7 students/seniors. Call the ticket office at 949-582-4656.

On the Seas: One Sunday each month, you can ride the waves with the wondrous wildlife residing off the Dana Point coastline aboard the Ocean Institute's "Sea Explorer" on the Morning Breeze Cruise. KSBR is a community service of Saddleback College and we are looking for new announcers for KSBR and Saddleback's new Internet rock radio station, OC Rock Radio.
