Next month, Through Oct. 8th through the 11th and Oct 15th through the 18th, the Orange County Great Park in Irvine hosts for the second time, the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon.

Sixteen college teams from around the world have arrived at the Great Park to begin building their solar houses. The teams include Team Orange County, which consists of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College, U-C-Irvine and Chapman University.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as A.L.S. is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

It affects the nerve cells that result in muscle degeneration. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in later stages of the diseace may become totally paralyzed.
