Cerebral Palsy is the result of some type of trauma-or injury to the brain before, during or shortly after birth. It's a permanent but not progressive disorder characterized by a disruption of motor skkills. Once cerebral palsy occurs, it doesn't get better or worse. With therapy the quality of life and function can be greatly improved.
