Alzheimer's is an irreversible, progressive brain disease that slowly destroys memory, thinking skills and eventually the ability to perform simple tasks. In most people, the symptoms appear after age 60. In Orange County 84,000 people are living with Alzheimer's. Nationally, that number jumps to 5 million. Alzheimer's Association Orange County President and CEO Jim McAleer joins KSBR News Director Dawn Kamber on this edition of "Collage."
