With more than 25 headliners playing with each other in a giant jazz jam, each Bash is a once-in-a-lifetime concert for both the artists and the audience. The music will never happen in exactly the same way again. The listeners know that the event is something special - it has sold out each of the past 11 years even before the full line up was announced! Here's what you need to know about the 2008 KSBR Birthday Bash: When: Sunday, May 25 (Memorial Day Weekend). The concert
begins at 5:30. Doors open at 3:30.
Where: The Village Green of Oso Viejo Community Park in Mission Viejo. Exit I-5 at La Paz and drive East (Here's a map). Who is playing: More than 25 contemporary jazz all-stars who leave their bands behind to play together for this special event. Per tradition, the players are revealed one per day beginning May 1 (and many cannot be announced prior to the event due to other contractual restrictions). So far we've announced Brian Simpson, Derek Bordeaux, Richard Smith, Michael Paulo, Sara Gazarek, Greg Adams, Dan Siegel, Steve Oliver, and Brian Bromberg. Listen at noon for our next artist! Tickets: Assigned Gold VIP Table Seating: $100 per person. Seating at assigned tables In the Gold Circle. All Gold VIPs will receive a 2008 Bash collectible. More about the new Bash venue: The City of Mission Viejo is creating the Village Green in a beautiful section of Oso Viejo Community Park next to the newly expanded Norman P. Murray Community Center. For our VIPs, the new location means: For our General Admission ticket holders, the new location means: Bringing the Birthday Bash home to KSBR’s hometown comes as Mission Viejo celebrates its own 20th Birthday. In fact, we are very proud that the City has agreed to join KSBR as a co-sponsor of the event to help make the 2008 Birthday Bash the best one yet! Never been to a Bash?
